ING appoints Boston Consulting Group partner Peter Adams as CEO for Belgium

Peter Adams has been appointed as chief executive officer of ING in Belgium from 2 January 2021.

Peter is joining ING from Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he currently serves as managing director and senior partner, leading BCG’s European people and organisation practice. Before that, Peter was the managing partner for BCG in Belgium and Luxembourg. He has extensive experience in both the local and international financial sector and has been involved in major banking industry transformations in the Nordics, UK and Benelux.

Peter will succeed Erik Van Den Eynden, who left the company on 1 October 2020. The role has been filled ad interim by Belgium’s chief financial officer Hans de Munck. He will report to Pinar Abay as head of Market Leaders.
